RackEdge Privacy Policy

1. Local use without an account

RackEdge’s calculator features can be used without an account. When you use RackEdge without signing in to RackEdge Pro, the app does not collect or transmit your name, email address, contact details, location, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, Fargo ratings entered into the calculators, race settings, or calculation results.

Fargo ratings, race lengths, handicap selections, probabilities, and other calculator inputs are processed locally on your device. They are not sent to RackEdge or stored in an external database.

RackEdge may introduce optional account-based features in a future version. This Privacy Policy will be updated before those features begin collecting personal data.

2. Local preferences

RackEdge may store selected language, light or dark theme, larger-text settings, and calculator input values locally on your device. This information remains on your device and can be removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

3. FargoRate independence and database access

RackEdge is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or otherwise connected with FargoRate or FargoRate LLC.

RackEdge does not access or connect to the FargoRate database; retrieve player names, ratings, match results, or other FargoRate data; copy, scrape, synchronize, or redistribute that database; verify user-entered ratings against FargoRate; or provide official FargoRate ratings or results.

Any Fargo rating used in RackEdge is entered manually by the user. The term “FargoRate” is used only to identify the rating system to which the user-entered numbers refer. All probabilities, race estimates, and handicap recommendations displayed by RackEdge are independently calculated estimates - not official FargoRate calculations or recommendations.

4. Website information

The RackEdge website does not intentionally use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels. Calculator values entered on the website are processed in your browser and are not intentionally transmitted to RackEdge.

The website’s hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information - such as IP address, browser type, request time, security logs, and error logs - to deliver and protect the website and diagnose technical problems. Such information is handled under the hosting provider’s applicable privacy terms.

5. Support communications

If you contact RackEdge by email, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, technical details, and attachments. We use it only to respond to your request, provide support, investigate a problem, and maintain the service.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or to meet applicable legal obligations.

6. Sharing and selling information

RackEdge does not sell personal information and does not share calculator inputs or results with advertisers, data brokers, FargoRate, or other third parties.

Limited information may be handled by service providers that host the website or deliver email solely to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and legal rights of RackEdge or its users.

7. Data retention and deletion

Calculator inputs and preferences stored locally remain on your device until you change them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. RackEdge does not maintain server-side accounts or profiles for app users.

8. Children’s privacy

RackEdge is a general billiards utility and is not directed specifically to children. The current version does not require an account. Fargo ratings, race settings, calculation results, and other calculator inputs are processed locally on the user’s device and are not sent to RackEdge.

RackEdge does not knowingly collect personal information from children through these local calculator features.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us at support@rackedgeapp.com so that we can review the information and, where appropriate, delete it.

If RackEdge introduces account-based features, this Privacy Policy will be updated and appropriate age-related protections will be implemented before personal information is collected through those features.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information you have submitted to RackEdge, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing.

You may exercise these rights by emailing support@rackedgeapp.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or your local supervisory authority.

10. Security

RackEdge is designed to minimize data collection. Calculator operations are performed locally on the device, reducing the need to transmit information. However, no electronic storage or communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if RackEdge’s functionality, data practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published at this URL with an updated date. If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, an appropriate notice will be provided.

12. Contact

RackEdge is jointly operated in Finland by Kirill Nikitin and Esa Reponen. For purposes of applicable data protection law, they act as joint controllers for the personal data processing described in this Privacy Policy.
